CELL QUESTIONS
Sermon Application Questions 2 Timothy 3:10-17 Read the passage again, and have someone review the message from their notes.
1. What is Paul’s overall concern in this passage? (It is a theme that is woven in and out of this passage from 2:14-4:8). In what ways is that concern still present for the church of the 21st Century?
2. Provisions for the journey (backpack illustration). What are the provisions for our journey that are highlighted in these verses?
a. How has your life benefited from people in your life group? In what ways have they been an encouragement to you in your faith?
b. Are there others in the church that have been role models, or examples in your life? In what ways? (It would be an encouragement to drop them a note, email, or text, thanking them for such.).
3. v. 12 “Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” Persecution can take many forms. Milder forms are when you are misunderstood, and mis-characterized. Are there any ways in which you have experienced this truth of this verse recently?
4. v.16-17 How do you react to the statement that “All Scripture is breathed out by God”?
Part of the challenge in the message (with the illustration of Jesus appearing at the RV Senior Center at Wed. noon) was to have us to encourage us to see the gift of this provision each day.
