Suggestions for how to use the workbook, and to prepare for your Life Group.

There are 3 parts to this series:
1. Preaching some of the main texts on Sunday morning.
2. The workbook for personal study and reflection
3. Life Group discussion (using the “Make it Real” section of the workbook).

Some have asked, “Should I go through the passages in the workbook before or after the Sunday message? You can do either. If you like having studied a passage before our Sunday gathering, then do it before. If you like it better as a reflection on the message, and the passages, then try it that way. You simply want to have the workbook completed BEFORE your Life Group discussion so that you will be prepared with the “Make it Real” section.

Here are some suggestions for the workbook:
1. Start on it early enough that you have time to reflect on the Scripture passages. (If you wait to complete it simply before your Life Group, it will suddenly feel like “homework.” And I don’t remember any student that liked “homework.”)

2. As I’ve given myself more time to reflect, I find the passages and truths, sinking deeper into my soul.

3. Again, give yourself enough time for the “Make it Real” section. While there are generally only 4-5 questions; they are more thinking or reflecting type of questions. The more time you give it, the “more real” it will be.
